About Us
Friendship Children’s Center is a nonprofit early childhood program serving children ages three months through five years. Since 1989, we have provided a nurturing, play-based environment where children are encouraged to explore, create, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
FCC serves families in Washington, DC, and Maryland and gives priority placement to families who live in ANC3E. Many of our graduates go on to neighborhood schools including Janney Elementary, Lafayette Elementary, and Westbrook Elementary.
Our families are an important part of the FCC community. We encourage parents and caregivers to participate in classroom activities, field trips, events, and other opportunities that strengthen the connection between home and school.
FCC participates in the DC Child Care Subsidy Program and Child Care Aware, which provides tuition assistance for eligible families.
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The best way to get to know FCC is to experience it in person. Visit our classrooms, meet the teachers who will care for and guide your child, see our play-based program in action, and get a feel for the community that has supported local families for more than 35 years. We would love to welcome you for a tour, answer your questions, and help you picture what your child’s days at FCC could look like.
