Woodbridge Station KinderCare
Overview Welcome to the Woodbridge Station KinderCare Learning Center!  Our center has been in the Edgewood community since 1989. We have built many strong relationships over the years watching many of our children grow up and have children of their own come to our center!  Many of our teachers have been here for many years too.  We are a NAEYC accredited center and provide a safe, nurturing, and learning environment for our children.   With designated learning centers such as dramatic play, sensory and blocks, children have the opportunity for rich social play and child-initiated discovery.  You'll also find that our classrooms feature a print-rich environment full of carefully selected materials to help your child connect spoken words and print to help develop early literacy and writing skills.  We pride ourselves in being a family oriented center and would love for you to be a part of our KinderCare family too. Teachers & StaffThe Woodbridge Station KinderCare teachers are passionate about teaching children and are dedicated to providing a classroom that enriches young minds to be excited about learning as they are engaged in activities that nurture their self esteem, their well being, and their individual needs and interests.  We hope your family will find our center to be your "home away from home" kind of place and that you will join our "KinderCare family" where you will be encouraged to be a part of your child's education every day. Health & SafetyWe have a staff member as our Health and Safety Coordinator; key code secured doors; six-foot-high fences around the play area with a secure lock; government-issued ID is verified during pick up and drop off; and name-to-face checks every 30 minutes.
Noah's Ark Children's Center
Noah's Ark is a non-profit faith based preschool offered by and within Salem United Methodist Church in Kingsville, Maryland. Operating from early September - mid May, our program fosters learning through a warm and loving environment. Our philosophy is that each child is unique, special and capable of learning and we strive to meet individual needs and goals. Our school day focuses on social interaction, communication, participation, good habits, cooperation, self reliance and self expression. Noah's Ark offers a 2 day a week (T/TH) 3 year old program and a 3 day a week (MWF) 4 year old program from 9 am-11:30 am. Additionally, the 4's program includes an extended day til 2 pm for the second half of the school year Jan-May which helps prepare the 4 year old children for the full days they will encounter in kindergarten. In our caring and positive environment, we create a warm and happy place for preschoolers to learn. As we bridge the gap from home to school, we guide children to a continued good self-image, while building social and academic skills in a school setting. Sensory, motor, perceptual, and language skills are introduced through materials and activities that are both child-centered and and teacher-directed. Work is planned which emphasizes the process rather than the product, fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride. Schedules are designed to balance structure and free choice, as well as active and quiet times. We teach a love of learning by allowing children to experience at their own pace without pressure. We value the active involvement of parents in our program. Parent helpers enable children to see parents as important and concerned members of the school environment. Parents may gain valuable insights about their own children and, at the same time, contribute their own talents and interests to enrich the program. Noah's Ark is a Md Excels participant.
Good Shepherd Children's Center
Three year olds are curious, all day, every day. It’s that expected sense of curiosity that we use to teach them to learn and grow. In our classrooms your child is free to be anything from an actor to an architect. Make-believe play, hands-on activities, small and large motor activities are just a few ways that we keep kids actively learning and engaged. These activities are also done to encourage development in several important areas. Our teachers plan age-appropriate small group interactions to work closely with your child to accomplish developmentally appropriate tasks. Children attending must be three years old by September 1. Classes are held Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9:00AM – 11:30AM September – May PRE-K/DAY CARE - 4YR/5YR OLD PROGRAM Kindergarten is an exhilarating move for children and parents alike. At Good Shepherd a large amount of what we have done in past years has all been leading up to it. But it is during our Pre-K program, for children age 4-5, that it becomes even more significant. Teachers plan activities to increase knowledge of fundamental educational concepts through discovery, exploration and participation. While we amplify the focus on mathematics, science and language we strive to present it a fun and engaging way. In our Pre-K class the children are presented with a wide variety of learning scenarios that help develop their self-esteem and social interactions as well. Our Pre-K class is held from September-May, Monday-Friday from 12:30-3:00. BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL CARE Children from the time they start Kindergarten want to feel all grown up, but they also need coziness and safekeeping. So instead of just daycare, our Before and After School program is designed to maintain their growing curiosity in sports, art, music. Our School Age staff work hard to provide a wide variety of self-selected activities along with homework help. Good Shepherd provides before and after school care for children attending Joppatowne Elementary School. We also provide drop in care on days that school is closed. Drop-in care is available regardless of what elementary school your child attends. We also offer a full day summer camp. Our center is open Monday-Friday from 6am-6pm. The center provides breakfast and afternoon snack, the parents must provide lunch. Good Shepherd Children's Center is a licensed child care center in Joppa, MD. At Good Shepherd Children's Center, we enroll children as young as 24 months through 5 years old. Please email us for more information.

Mrs. Rabbitt's Daycare

My name is Monica. I am a Mother of three who decided to open a... licensed daycare in White Marsh. My hours of operation will be Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm. Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be provided for your child daily and is included in the weekly rate. My passion for working with children started in my late teens when I was a camp counselor. Over the last 15 years I have taught vacation bible school and work in my church nursery and preschool areas. Children in my care will enjoy a fun, educational atmosphere and we will follow a light curriculum with rug time, math and reading. My goal is to help the children in my care prepare for school as well as to help the older children with existing school work. My home was built less than 8 years ago and is a very strict smoke free environment. My home is in the Vincent Farm school zone and the bus stop right in front of my driveway. Before and After-Care is available for school aged kids. Daycare will take place mainly in the finished basement where kids will enjoy social development through play and a light curriculum with meals/snacks being served in the dining room. I also have a huge fenced in backyard with a state of the art play set. While we learn by play we also have designated learning time at the end of the day and throughout the day many activities to go with what we are learning about for the day/week/month. I would love to answer any questions you have as well as set up a time for you to come out for an interview. Please feel free to email or call so we can get started in bringing your child into our family at Mrs. Rabbitts Daycare! License information and references are available upon request.
