Bradmoor Educational Playhouse
About Me Welcome to Bradmoor Educational Playhouse, my licensed home daycare and preschool in Bethesda, MD. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 13 years of child care and early education experience. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and I’m CPR & First-aid certified. I am an experienced teacher, and my passion is working with children. I just love being immersed in their world! A dream came true when operating my family child care program, a place where I create a nurturing, creative, and joyful environment for children. Before opening my own home-based daycare, I was a teacher at a multilingual international elementary school in California. Prior to working there, I was also a teacher in Iran after earning a degree in communication. I am very passionate about art and early childhood education, and I am determined to expand my knowledge in this field. Philosophy I truly believe in creating an environment conducive to curiosity, creativity, and altruism. I think that a simple but organized environment, in which natural materials play a pivotal role, best serves my educational purpose and is productive for learning and growing. Most of my teaching materials are Montessori-based. Curriculum I have taken advantage of elements of the Waldorf teaching philosophy to encourage and nurture creativity and imagination in children. I also employ elements of the Reggio Emilia approach to develop a curriculum that is reflective of my mindfulness of the children's different personalities. Having these differences in mind, I strive to instill in children a profound respect and understanding for the world they live in. In addition to English, I speak Farsi, Persian and Turkish and upon your request, I can expose your little one to these foreign languages (however, please note that my daycare is not a bilingual program). Program My family child care program is open year-round from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. I provide full-time care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers between the age of 6 weeks and 5 years old. I run a peanut and tree-nut free environment and can serve lunch (with additional fee) to your child. Location Bradmoor Educational Playhouse is in the Bradmoor neighborhood of Bethesda, MD. I’m right off Greentree Rd, near Bradley Park, within walking distance from Bradley Hills Elementary School (also close to Wyngate Elementary School and Bethesda Elementary School). Your commute to work will be convenient since I have easy access to Old Georgetown Rd (route 187), Bradley Blvd (route 191) and the Capital Beltway (I-495). Please call or send an email to book a tour, I would love to meet your family :)

About Me: I’m a professional and experienced child care provider with over 6 years of experience working with diverse personalities and a wide range of ages. Curriculum: My home is a bilingual Spanish daycare and preschool, so children can learn this foreign language at a very young age. I follow the Play-based learning approach, promoting learning through fun and educational activities such as Arts & Crafts, Music, Story Time, Yoga and Manners. If weather permits, we go outside to enjoy our outdoor playtime. My goal is to develop each child’s emotional, behavioral and social skills through my curriculum. Temple Sinai Nursery School

At Temple Sinai Nursery School (TSNS), we believe in nurturing the individuality of each child. We see children as competent individuals who flourish... in a joyful early childhood setting that encourages freedom of expression, focuses on building strong social-emotional skills, and promotes self-confidence through active hands-on learning. The philosophy of TSNS is based on the theories of Piaget, Vygotsky, Erikson, Gardner, the Bank Street Model and constructivist education. We are also inspired by the philosophy of the Reggio Emilia Schools in Italy. Our program is imbued with Jewish values that emphasize and promote kindness (g'milut chasadim), doing good deeds (mitzvot) and taking care of our world (tikkun olam). At TSNS, we believe that play is the primary vehicle through which learning progresses in the early years. Sensitivity to the needs of parents of young children always underpins our efforts. In addition to providing an excellent developmentally appropriate early childhood curriculum, we take pride in being a part of the larger Temple Sinai community and helping parents foster a positive sense of Jewish identity in their children. A warm and welcoming parent community is at the heart of our program; parents are involved in the daily life of the program and take leadership roles at the Nursery School. The Parents Association plans and supports several family and school-wide events each year such as the Family Fall Holidays Festival, the annual Winter Family Concert, the school-wide Hanukkah Celebration and Model Seder, and the annual Spring Auction. NS GardenThis program maintains the highest standards of early childhood education. We have achieved accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and we are a Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning Commended School. Small classes, and a physical environment that includes a kitchen designed specifically for children and teachers to cook, vegetable and flower garden, motor room, and "investigation room" where children have hands-on experiences with science and art, complement our core program. Every morning, we welcome children into our extended playground that sets the stage for imaginative play and physical development, with its bike path, climbing equipment, and rock and sand gardens. "The city school with the country playground" Every year at our Parents Evening we share the philosophy of our school through word play and photographs of every child. Temple Sinai Nursery School is a child care center in Washington, DC. We are open from 6:00am to 6:00pm. To learn more about us, please send us an email.
