About

Redeem Christian Academy was established in 1995 by the United Methodist Church of the Redeemer as an outreach ministry of the Church. We are a licensed Child Development Program by the Maryland State Department of Education Office of Childcare. The purpose of the Academy is to provide a quality early learning experience with developmentally appropriate practices while serving children ages 6 weeks to 12 years of age in our community. The primary goal of RCA is to promote the love of God by creating a setting in which children will find warmth, comfort, and gentleness as well as an abundance of opportunities for movement, exploration and self-discovery according to individual needs, interests, and abilities. To assist each child to grow to his fullest potential by recognizing each stage of development and fashioning and environment designed to nurture and facilitate growth during each developmental milestone. To help children achieve independence, self discipline, social competence self-knowledge, enthusiasm for learning, positive attitudes, intellectual growth an organized approach to problem solving and to assist parents in understanding the developmental stage/s of their child/children, enabling them to contribute most effectively to the child's growth.
