Sparkles! Early Learning Academy
Established in 2011, the newest of our centers, our Crystal City Child Care facility is conveniently located near the Metro and Pentagon, servicing corporate and military families in the busy Arlington community. This Crystal City child care center was built with numerous glass walls and windows, for an open, spacious feeling. Our classrooms offer enticing toys, arts and crafts, plenty of books and engaging educational activities for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years old. Our Crystal City child care center offers extended hours, an internet camera viewing system in the classrooms, and convenient flexible schedules to meet parents' daycare needs. At Sparkles, our goal is to utilize proven, research-based curriculum resources designed to produce creative, confident thinkers. Using the nationally recognized Creative Curriculum system, we incorporate the latest research and best practices to address the learning needs of infants, toddlers and preschool children by using age-specific objectives for learning and development. These objectives have been identified as strong predictors of school and life success, building traits associated with leadership. All of our centers participate in our S.T.A.R. Curriculum (Successful Teaching for Academic Readiness) for all of the age groups; a thematic based, developmentally appropriate curriculum. We are currently pursuing accreditation from NAEYC, The National Association for the Education of Young Children – a national, voluntary accreditation system to set professional standards for early childhood education programs. When you walk into our Crystal City child care location, you will be welcomed by well-trained and caring child care professionals who make learning exciting and fun.
Doodlebug Learning Center
I have worked with children for over 25 years in a variety of capacities. I have my Master's Degree in Social Work and prior to opening my in-home daycare I worked with children in foster care and adoption. Five years ago I had my own child and decided to change career paths. I love children and have been excited about working with children in this capacity. In addition to our play based daily routine, we also take many field trips to places like the National Zoo, water parks, playgrounds, libraries, and museums... plus many more! The children are active and engaged on a constant basis. We also use the curriculum to enhance the learning environment. I am also beginning to use a curriculum to help the older children learn to read. We have fun and the children are loved as if they were my own.
Bright Start Learning Center
In our open floor plan of ten naturally lit classrooms, our caring staff makes it their business to greet each family that walks through our doors. We encourage you to come by the center for a tour of our facility, to meet our teachers, and to get to know our program. Tours are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 10:00am and 4:00pm. At Bright Start, children from 6 weeks to 5 years old enjoy a state-of-the-art facility that is designed to help them develop cognitively, socially, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development. Children are encouraged to learn, play, and explore and have the opportunity to participate in numerous group and individual activities. Bright Start's age appropriate curriculum coupled with a custom designed facility and a low teacher to child ratio ensure a top tier service for the children and their parents. Music for Life Our music program, Music for Life comes to each classroom weekly and does an extensive music curriculum with each age group. Students will learn and discover many new songs, dances, and instruments from all over the world as well as introducing the concepts of steady rhythm, and general music theory. Our teacher is Ms. Rebecca and she will be at Bright Start teaching every Wednesday from 9:30-11:30 in the Bees, Turtles, Giraffes, Monkeys, Owls, Polar Bears, Penguins, Fishies, and Froggies. Gigglebytes Gigglebytes is a program that is offered to our 4 Year Old classrooms each Monday for thirty minute lessons. Within these lessons, the Gigglebytes program offers quality computer education for young children as they learn to use computers as a tool, develop specific age appropriate computer skills, and become safe, competent computer users. Outdoors we have a toddler playground for 1 & 2 year olds and three preschool aged playgrounds that the classrooms rotate through. All three programs are accredited by NAEYC, a distinction that only about 8\\\% of early childhood programs achieve. For more information, please visit our website.

Graham Park Children's Place

Hi parent, thanks for your interest in Graham Park Children's Place, my bilingual Spanish daycare in Fall Church, VA! I’m the owner and main... caregiver and I have 25 years of experience. I hold a Child Development Associates degree and I’m CPR & First-aid certified. I’m also a mother of 3 myself, so I relate to your concerns when it comes to finding a nurturing child care program and quality early education. Before opening my own home daycare, I was a preschool headstart teacher for 8 years. I use the Creative Curriculum and plan educational, fun activities for my little students. We do Arts & Crafts, Story Time, Music Dance, Math and much more. My daycare is a bilingual Spanish program, so in addition to English, I teach the Spanish language to my students (this is a wonderful opportunity for your child to learn this beautiful language!). I also teach the American Sign Language. If weather permits, I take children out to the community playground, so we can enjoy our outdoor playtime. My home daycare and preschool is open year-round from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. I can provide full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 3 weeks, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs. I’m part of the USDA Food Program and I serve breakfast, lunch and two snacks to all the children in my care. Graham Park Children's Place is in the Monticello neighborhood of Falls Church VA, across from the Graham Park Plaza shopping mall. My home is right off Arlington Blvd (US-50) and has easy access to Lee Hwy (US-29) and the I-495. Please call or send an email to schedule a visit, I look forward to meeting you and your little one!
