Saybrooke Kids Playhouse
About Me Saybrooke Kids Playhouse is a brand new home-based daycare in Gaithersburg, MD. I’m the owner and main caregiver and I have 6 years of experience in providing quality child care. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Dentistry and I’m CPR & First-aid certified. I can also administer medication to all kids in my care since I’m a MAT trained. As mother of 2 myself, I know how challenging it is in terms of looking for a trustworthy provider and safe child care program. Curriculum Children learn best through play, so I follow the Play-based learning principles and I use a state-approved curriculum. I encourage my students to participate in fun, educational activities using high-quality, age-appropriate toys and equipment. In addition to English, I can teach Mandarin Chinese, Turkish and Farsi. This is a wonderful opportunity for your little one to learn these foreign languages (my daycare is not a bilingual program, I will teach these languages upon parents' request). Program My daycare is open year-round from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Monday through Friday (weekend child care is available upon request, please call or send an email to inquire about weekend care rates). I provide full-time and part-time care for children between the age of 4 weeks and 5 years old, including children with special needs. We serve homemade nutritious breakfast and lunch as well as afternoon snacks to all children attending our program (all meals are Halal and the cost is already included in the tuition). Location Saybrooke Kids Playhouse is located in the Saybrooke neighborhood of Gaithersburg, MD. My home is right off Midcounty Hwy / Woodfield Rd (route 124), near Forest Oak Middle School. Your daily commute will be fast and convenient since we're within easy access of N Frederick Ave (route 355) and the I-370. Family participation is an intricate piece to my family child care... program. Through the diversity of my members and families, the children in my care have a better understanding of the world around them. All of these experiences for the children are presented with a well-rooted understanding of developmentally appropriate practices. My mission is creating and building a children's program where the needs and interests of my students come first. A place where children will receive the attention and care that they need to grow and learn at this important stage of their lives; where children feel safe and secure, and where parents can take comfort in knowing that their children are receiving the highest level of care. Curriculum My home daycare follows a play-based approach as I believe that young children learn through play and exploration. My program promotes the early learning process by providing a safe and secure environment for each child. My program also invites each child to reach their potential in all developmental areas such as physical, social, emotional, and cognitive/language. Child Care Goals • Provide a safe, healthy, and secure environment for children to learn and to play. • Encourage language development through the interaction of various Medias such as music, sign language, and stories. • Provide children the opportunities to socialize and work together by sharing and showing empathy toward one another. • Provide activities that encourage the inclusion of children regardless of their level of ability. • Provide an environment that promotes the mindset that all developmental stages are fostered through age-appropriate, multi-cultural, non-stereotype curriculum, activities, and materials.
