Gayfields Kids Playhouse

Gayfields Kids Playhouse is a home-based daycare and preschool in Silver Spring, MD. The program is run by a mother of 2 with 5 years of professional... child care experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science. She's also CPR & First-aid certified, as well as MAT trained so if needed, she can administer medication to children in her care. The daycare offers full-time and part-time care for infants as young as 9 months, as well as toddlers and preschoolers up to 5 years old, including children with special needs. The curriculum and activities are tailored to children based on their age and developmental stage, play-based for babies, and Creative Curriculum for toddlers and preschoolers. In addition to English, the provider also speaks Amharic and can expose your child to this foreign language if you’d like (however, please note that this is not a bilingual child care program). She also offers before and after school care for school-age kids, up to 12 years old. Snacks with milk and juice are served to all attending kids (they are already included in the tuition.) Gayfields Kids Playhouse is open year-round between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The facility is in the Gayfields neighborhood of Silver Spring, right off Layhill Rd (route 182), near MD State Route 200, Norbeck Rd and Layhill Local Park.
